My 19 year old was sentenced to 25 years last week, but hasn't been put in prison yet due to pending charges in 2 other counties. I'm still in the shock phase. Truly heartbroken, but happy to be "around" others that have dealt with similar situations. I think my son and our family have a long, hard journey ahead.

I'm sorry that you and your family are having to deal with this, but glad that you found us here. I don't know how I would have survived the past several months without the support, advice, compassion, and understanding from the other parents on PTO. Welcome.

I wish I could say it wasn't a difficult journey ahead . .I wish I could say it will be okay - - but it is hard, but you will learn to walk one day at a time. You will fall into a new routine. There will be days of tears, and there will come a time, when you don't cry everyday, a day you won't feel guilty about enjoying your life. It is hard, but the friends you find here will understand, they will pray with you, give you advise, laugh with you and cry with you. So, stay in touch. We care.

so if there are other charges pending when they get sentenced, they stay in county until the new charges are dealt with??? My son is facing 6-18 months tomorrow. He is due to be arraigned friday on a new charge. In which he will have a new bond set that I can not afford to pay. He will then have to sit in county til trial...I am just cnfused as to where he is going to be and whats gonna happen??
Welcome to PTO, I'm sorry for the reason you have to find us. I'm glad you've joined. Know that we'll be here with you through your journey. It won't be an easy one but you will pull it through.... Take care and God bless.
