NAIROBI: A Kenyan man had his pet dog arrested after it ate his rent money. Robert Njeru, 25, of Nakuru, took his dog to the police station after it chewed up 3 000 Kenyan shillings (R260). (About 33 USD)
Njeru left the money on the bed and his dog shredded the notes.
A furious Njeru took his dog to the police station where he paid a bribe of 50 shillings (R4.30) (About 54 US cents) to have the dog arrested. However, a policeman was fired for accepting a bribe and the dog was freed. Njeru has now put the dog up for sale for 20 shillings (R1.30). (About 16 US cents) - ananova.com
