I've always felt that a tattoo specially of sumones name is sumthing sweet, romantic, bonding,special.. yeah I can hear the birds singing and the sweet music...n now the record skips... he's not asking you to get one for these reasons is he and if you got it it wouldn't be for those reasons either? Talkin bout a man that can't do much from where he's at whose feelin hurt and pissed off. I will tell you from my past experiences a man that will throw the past back in ur face now..i'm pretty sure if you guyz stay together till ur 100 years old guess what u'll never be able to forget about? a yup ...Theres sum people that can work thru the screwups and get past them and others that just can't..doesn't make anyone bad just the way it is..You came clean with him..apologized..ur trying to make it right...

You don't owe him a tattoo..

Well... You cheated on him, you told him after a year and I think you can't complain if he is always reminding you your mistake (for the moment). Forgive me but he has all the rights of being upset. BUT, at the same time, he's being childish because a tattoo won't stop you if you decide to cheat again and, if an other man wants to sleep with you, he won't change his mind for some ink. I think you should talk with your man and explain a tattoo won't make your relationship better, only communication can save it. Good luck!

Truth is, he has not been the same since he found out that I cheated (It happened once last year at the beginning of our relationship, but he didnt find out till last week). He somehow always throws it in my face about how much I messed up. I was wrong to, BUT i tell him that if its not something he can get over- to please let me go, because it stresses me out to have him rain it down on me everyday/ everytime he thinks im lying or might go out and do it again. I understand that he's hurt deeply, and he says my image in his minds eye is shattered (and it hurts so much to know how much ive hurt him), but now i dont know what to do.

I want to stand by him to heal his pain, but what if he can never get over it? I tell him that if he knows he'll never forgive me to break up with me so we can both begin healing, but he doesn't want to leave. Yet why would he keep stress boxing to me about it? If youve been through something similar, can you give me any insight/ advice? It would be greatly appreciated. I welcome your honest opinions.
I was on the opposite side of this situation. He cheated on me. He deserves his reaction time... I was still mentioning it a month later when I found out and he got upset. I told him that a month isn't that long to get over something that has broken your heart. We had a last conversation where i asked all the questions i needed to and got all the answers i needed. That's when i chose to accept that it happened and move forward with him. The trust still isn't 100% and won't be until he's home and proving himself to me. Give him some more time.. The guy's only known for a week. Also, never get a tattoo unless YOU actually want it.

My hubby got my name tatted on his neck Thursday. I saw it yesterday at visit, there's not much i can say other than this: I NEVER asked him to do it, and i never told him he couldn't do it either. He didn't do it so i would trust him again after him cheating. (he cheated a week before we got married and i found out after a month of being married) He did it because, in his words.. "nothing will ever change the fact that i love you, i love you more than i'll ever love anyone, so your name on my body is a constant reminder to not f&^% up what true love we have, once i get out. after you, there'll never be another, so it's not for you, it's for us." I am getting his name over my heart sometime soon, just not exactly how soon. ONLY get a tattoo of someones name if you and him are both in it for the long haul. Getting his name on your body, just for him, isn't something you should do. Like other people have said, it's permanent. But i do disagree with some of them however saying this: if you love him, and its not just for him, if you want it to, then by all means, just remember, it'll never come off. Getting someones name on you can mean numerous things, to you, and to the other person. But by the way it sounds, he just wants his name on you, so he will feel secure. If i were you i'd tell him to turn into a big boy and either take the steps to try and trust you, or end things. No one deserves to be manipulated after a mistake. My hubby cheated, but we've worked through it. it wasn't easy, it was VERY hard, but totally worth it. Hope this helped! :]
