My boyfriend was on parish probation and he got a new charge. He has been in parish jail since 10/25/11 and we have gone to numerous court hearings. Finally his new charge was dropped down from a felony to a misdemeanor and he had his probation revocation hearing on 4/24/12. His p.o. tried to screw him in court by asking for "contempt" but the judge said no. The p.o. also tried to get him to take another year of probation and my boyfriend told him no b/c the new charge was a techinal violation and he would only have to do 90 days and he has been in there 6 months so my boyfriend ended up violating himself and they now told him they are just waiting on "paperwork" and that it could take anywhere from 2-3 weeks (it has been one week today). Does anyone know if they can keep him in there longer then the 3 weeks ? Does the paperwork have to be signed by the p.o. or doc or the judge ? Im just looking for answers b/c i dont want him to get lost in the system Any information on who to call or what to do, i would really appreciate it !
