Intro--ineedahug from Wisconsin

Hi My nickname is Ineedahug and these last few months that's what helps me get through... I currently live in WI and my son has been extradicted from Albuquerque to Ca. for marijuana charges.. He will be sentenced at the end of this week and I am terrified of the possibility of him being sent to prison. I am helping him write his letter to the Judge in hopes of showing what kind of young man he is and ultimately a ruling for county jail time for 5 months instead of prison time.. The laws in California are constantly changing and I need to get as much info as I can asap prior to judgment day!! Any and all help, advice, would be greatly appreciated. I think he may be looking at San Quentin and I was wondering about the intake procedures, classification timeframes, rules, etc
