Default Letter for Marriage

Hey Family,
I was told by fiance I needed to write a letter to the warden letting them know that I want to marry my fiance. Do you know what I need to include in the letter ? I would appreciate your help. I would like to write it ASAP.

You pretty much have to explain why you wanna get married.
I had to do it too, it's really hard! lol. I can never find the words to say.

there is the basic outline I wrote. Im not sure what they will require from you.. but i just gave my full name.. social.. D.O.B. the reason why i wanted to marry him.my address and all his info.. not his social because they already have it...and thats basically it. Mine is in Baltimore. He has been locked up for a year and we wanted to do it before he went to sentencing.. so right now we are just waiting on the minister to say that he will marry us. I will find out this weekend because we had to get our own because the chaplain does it do it in there. SO good luck.

First thing you want to do is check the directives for the state that your fiancee is in to see what is required of you both and if anything specific needs to be included in that letter. When you address your letter, make sure to include his name, # and state that you both ahave met the requirements of the directive or rule and now am writing as an expression of interest to marry. Also state that you will be following up in x days to assure their office has received the letter. usually when you call to confirm they received your letters, they can tell you over the phone what is next or if anything additional is needed. I tell ladies all the time, that we have to be on top of them with this or your letter can sit there longer than it needs to. Good luck and look forward to hearing all about your wedding!

Thank you. I wrote it last week and the warden received it in about 2 days. all we are waiting on now is the info from the minister and he will be faxing that to me so I can mail it to the chaplain tomorrow then they will give us a date.
