Default PreRelease Status in MD

My question is this: When you are reclassed as pre-release, do you automatically get your 10 days a month?

My husband refused to be reclassed as prerelease because he didn't want to be moved and have to wait for a job again. He earns 10 days a month and last time he was moved it took him nearly 3 months to get another job.

He was told today by another inmate that if he'd been reclassed to prerelease, he would automatically get the 10 days, with or without a job.

Anyone know if that is true? The case manager didn't tell him this and he knew why my husband wants to stay status quo

Thanks!
