When my father'n'law got paroled, he was told he got approved and then I kept calling every day for 2 weeks to find out when he would actually be released. They told us on Wednesday, we picked him up on Friday. You can call the institutional parole officer on his unit and he can tell you more.

I am moving your thread to the Texas Parole, Probation, Release forum where I think you'll get the appropriate responses.

Being at Lychner, it begs the question of whether there is even a parole-eligible offense. I've not seen that facility being used during the past decade as a transfer capacity for non-State Jail offenders.

I have no idea why you just said to be honest. But he has gone up for parole once at Lynchner and was denied. He is now going up again. So...transfer unit or not they are paroling people from there left and right. I am just trying to figure the process. From when he sees them to sign the first paper to begin the process...etc. Thank you for your help I really appreciate it!

Lynchner is by far populated by state jail confines out of Harris County. Those serving state jail sentences are not eligible for parole
However, though it seems fairly uncommon, some with ID sentences end up there. Yours is only maybe the third case I've heard of in my years on PTO.

Never minding that, there is no one answer to your question. It depends on what the parole vote was and even knowing that one can only have a fairly broad window of possibility for an answer. Your best course of action will be to not rely on the web site for indication of approval for parole because it will always lag the parole vote anywhere from many weeks to very many months. Call the Angleton parole board to get the status of his parole.
