Default Pro activ?

Anyone currently using pro activ or have used it before? I have been for 2 years and I'm noticing it's not as effective.....so I'm thinking about switching brands, maybe something a bit more natural and without fragrance like Clinique.

Suggestions?

I've actually heard that proactive pushes the acne down into your skin making it even worse when you stop using it. I also noticed this from personal experience. I used to think my ex was crazy but he swore by using just soap and it works. Also the nutrigena bar works good.

I'm a huge fan of the PhisoDerm products and regular ol' Stridex to spot treat zits when they do rear their ugly little heads.

I use proactive and seem to have luck with it. Now what it really is doing I have no idea but my face is clear
My friend got a facial done once and the lady doing it showed me how all the proactive was dug under the skin I tried to tell myself it's not true hehe as u can see I still use the product. Let me know if you find a new product that works for you!!

I used pro activ when my face was REALLLLY bad.. it worked great for awhile, only issue I really had was it started to dry my face out super bad..
Now I use nurtogena (probably spelled that wrong) I switch between the different kinds they have..works pretty well for me for the most part.

I like the Neutrogena wave and the pads that come with it. That works really well for me.
I also used proactive for like 6 months now, and it worked so well. I stopped using it and my face is mostly clear.. but I am also getting older (almost 19) so the drop in hormones might have something to do with it as well.

I used proactive for a while. I found that the chemicals made my face feel tight and stripped. Now, the only products I use on my skin are black soap and raw unrefined shea butter. It is amazing! They are good for all skin types and all skin problems. Go to agbangakarite.com. There is a wealth of information on these all natural products.

I used proactive for about a year when I was in high school and I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody. I didn’t see any changes in my acne.
I am currently using ACNEFREE clear skin treatments. I see a difference the next day. With a clean and clear moisterizer since the AcneFree is oil free.

Your welcome. Shea butter is the TRUTH! I recommend it to everyone. It's like coco butter on crack. What I learned is the coco butter that's sold in stores has been processed and deotorized to death in order to make it more marketable. All of the healing properties have been bleached and hexaned out. It smells pretty, but it's not really benefitting your skin. What's more, those coco butter products mostly list water or petroleum as the main ingredient. Be careful, commercial shea butter products have the same problem.

Raw, unrefined shea butter has all of its natural emollient, healing properties in tact. You can melt it down to oil or whip it up to an airy fluff. It has natural sunscreen and vitamin E. I love this stuff! I use it straight and I make body butters with it when I want to get fancy. The only thing I caution is going overboard. Its moisturizing capabilities are serious, so you don't need a lot. I'll buy 5 pounds and it will last me for 6-8 months.

And thanks for the info! How does it come? I haven't looked at it on the website yet..lol

No problem. I add vitamin E oil, extra virgin olive oil, jojoba oil, or castor oil. I buy fragrance oils from soap making sites so I'll add a little fragrance (this is totally optional). The fast way is to dump a few chunks of the shea butter and a bit of oil in a glass or tupperware bowl and mix it with a mixer (you know those hand blenders with the two beaters). Start off slow to get the ingredients incorporated, then speed up to make it fluffy.

The way it comes depends on how much you buy and where you buy it from. I've had it come in disposable tupperware bowls and I've had it come in ziploc bags. Shea butter is solid, but its soft.

I buy both my black soap and shea butter from ujamaa essentials.com, but I've also purchased from Nasaab, and the website that you are looking at that has all the info. I think I've purchased from the shea butter hut, too but I can't remember. Just a few to give you some comparison thoughts. I'm not sure what the pricing is on smaller amounts cause I usually buy by the pound.

You aren't being a bother. As you've probably noticed, I'm excited about this stuff. It literally saved my skin and if I can help someone else by passing on the knowledge, I'm more than happy to,
