New here and to the ny state prison system

Hi, I'm lily. I live in Massachsetts but my guy is locked up in fishkill. We've know each other for years but didn't start see'ing each other until after he got busted. He's been my rock for so long, my best friend, now my man. He holds me up, now I have to hold him up. He was sentenced last month, to 3 years on a criminal marijuana possession charge. I miss my best friend. I miss how perfectly my head fits on his shoulder. Im really excited that I found this website though. My family & friends don't understand what I'm going through at all. They try, and I truely appreciate their efforts but they don't get it. I dated a military man for a few years and went through five deployments with him. So i know somewhat how this works on my end. Keeping the faith, staying positive, making sure everything at home is taken care of so he can focus on what he has to do and not worry about me. I'm good with that. But when I say three years in my head it sounds like forever. I know it's not, but damn feels like it.
