Tanya,
I just paroled out of Johnson. What exactly are you wanting to know about it? I will be glad to try to help you.
Visitation is Saturday, Sunday and all State Holidays from 9 until 3.
With mail, the mail room staff at Johnson is not very friendly..... Make sure that all letters have GDC number on the envelope. Also, make sure that the envelope has Johnson State Prison on it. They like for you to put the dorm assignment on the envelope as well, but they will still deliver the mail without that. P.O. Box 344 Wrightsville, GA 31096 is the address. So, the envelope should look something like this:

Quote:
Persons Name GDC # 11111111
Johnson State Prison
PO Box 344
Wrightsville, GA 31096
Also, and this is extremely important. Make sure that you put your first and last name as well as a complete address for the return address. If not, they will return your letter.

Telephone rates..... They vary depending on where you are. But pretty much, you can count on roughly 6 dollars or so for a 15 minute call.

Anything else that I can help you with, please let me know.

Thank you Trouble, for your information but I do have another question. My fiancee has sent me significant other forms for me and his family. Do immediate family have to fill out a form before visitiation . I just thought it was people who are not blood related. However, he is telling me everyone has to send one in according to Johnson prison rules.

Hey Trouble,

What can you tell me about the RSAT program at Johnson? If someone transfers to Johnson to do RSAT will they still have to wait a few months before starting the program? What about work release? After someone finishes RSAT do they still have to do work release?

My fiance has done 18 months on 48 and his counselor is now saying that he needs to go to RSAT at Johnson. If RSAT isn't mandated by the judge or parole board should he still do it? Would it help or hurt him paroling out?

Thanks,
Katy
