Default New resource coming soon. By a felon to help felons.

The domain has been acquired and the coding has begun on http://employersforexcons.info This site is being built by someone with multiple felony convictions who is tired of seeing all of the roadblocks put in front of the ex-felon as they are released from prison.

Studies (http://freelinemediaorlando.com/a-hi...et-up-to-fail/) have shown that when a felon is working in a meaningful career he/she has less of a chance of re-offending.

That's where you come in. If you have a loved one who has or you have found employment, give us the employer's info. The submission form will be pretty straightforward. After being reviewed (we may call them to get more information) it'll be searchable by zip code, city, county, state, job type, offense information (if the employer will hire sex/drug/DUI/violent offenders) and any other pertinent information.

The Ohio APA (Adult Probation and Parole Authority) and ODJFS (Ohio Department of Job and Family Services) has already expressed interest in this site since most information on the web is outdated and ours will be checked once a month.

Thank you for your support!

Yes it is. I'm working to get as many national employers listed as possible so that once we launch it can be populated almost immediately. Plus with working full time and helping raise my daughter it's going a bit slower than I had hoped, but it is coming along!

Default Resources

I believe there are many sites out there trying to do this. Has anyone ever found any useful information?

Yes. The main problem is that they are usually static pages. The site I am working on is fully dynamic. People can sign up for a free account and be able to add listings, put in requests for listings to be removed if they are no longer available, employers can post for job seekers and more.

Please include information on employers that openly refuse to hire ex-offenders also. It will make it easier to aggressively target employers that unlawfully discriminate with state and federal litigation.
