Interstate Compact parole violation (gun charge), will New York extradite?

Ok my husband caught a gun charge in 11/9/11
In Cobb Ga he currently on Parole NYC but is bring supervised by ga his Max out date is December 2013 but was sentenced a year in prison he is will serve 3-5 months being that he is not violent inmate...will NYC come get him or will he parole out
