Default Interstate Compact parole violation (gun charge), will New York extradite?

Ok my husband caught a gun charge in 11/9/11
In Cobb Ga he currently on Parole NYC but is bring supervised by ga his Max out date is December 2013 but was sentenced a year in prison he is will serve 3-5 months being that he is not violent inmate...will NYC come get him or will he parole out

Unfortunately there's no way to know what NY parole will do. If they filed a detainer, they will at least be given the chance by GA, or GA might be able to file their own PV because they are suipervising his NY parole.

His attorney on the new GA charges might be able to find out what their plans are though. Good luck.

NY is very tough on gun charges. Chances are if he violated parole he will be going back to NY. Thats probably what you can expect.

A new conviction for a gun charge is almost certainly considered a major violation, which means that NY will have to bring him back.
