oh ya , my man talked to his counselor n she said they usually end up for transfer a few months after cus that person is slow as well... and he told her if were not married hes not putting in for the transfer til after the marriage... cus im pretty sure u just have to wait til after that amount of time to request a transfer... or r they choosing to transfer him themselves?

Its his annual and his points dropped down to level 3, so he wants to leave...since i havent been able to talk to him, i dont even know how that went

How long does this process take I sent my packet in almost a month ago but still have not heard anything back....I'm goin crazzzyyy

All I can tell you is that they got my packet in January and I have heard nothing. My man keeps checking and his counselor is "working on it." My understanding is once his counselor is finished it goes to the head counselor for approval and then to the marriage coordinator. I've heard that even after the marriage coordinator gets it, it can take months. :-( I totally understand the going crazy part.

Wow, I'm sorry I didn't see this when you posted! I'm not on here very often and I tend to spend more time in another forum. You may not need the answers anymore but I hate to leave anyone hanging.

OK, so the confirmation I got was from sending my packet certified. It took over a month because someone screwed up...hard to believe, right? My man is on D-yard.

Hey thanks for responding! Im sorry your havig such a long process!!!! I sent mine certified, his counselor got it about a week later i believe, she mailed had my man come in they looked over it and had him sign stuff (the last day of march), cus dont u know he sent it to me without filling any of it out! lol. well she didnt let it go, even had the head counselor sign it at classification and 3 weeks later, Aprl 20th, the marriage coordinator got our packet!

I called a couple weeks ago n the coordinator was eating n told me she didnt have it. He went to his couselor, and she called the coordinator with him there and confirmed she has it lol. I heard she has 3 to 5 months o have us married. which would mean 2 to 4 months for a date.... crossing my fingers cus as far as I know there isnt aybody else on F yard waiting to get married

I am going through the SAME thing right now. I know where my fiancé is neither would be allowed and he is on a Minimum security yard but they are SO strict, no collar bones can show, no sheer. One time I had a white t shirt on with a blank tank top on under it. Still wasn't acceptable and NOTHING was see through. I would hate for you to buy something and get turned away that day so whatever it is, bring back up. I doubt the lace would be okay

My man is in jail and hes going to prison in 3 months i have read over some posts already and i like the idea of a confidential marriage just because im young and i dont want to tell my family yet and i wanna wait for a reception,, does anyone know how i can get started do i need to tell the court first or wat?

Ok, after 5 months my love says the counselors are done with their part of the process. Now they are "waiting for the list." I'm assuming that means they have sent our paperwork on to the marriage coordinator who will add us to the list of people waiting for dates. Good grief! I just want to marry my man!! Now, would be nice.

I started my process in february, and the coordinator got out papers March 20, so three months r up. So if u find out 30 days prior to ur wedding date, i take it anyday now, to a month away we'll be getting our date. IM SO FREAKING EXCITED! The coordinator called me from a 559 number right now, && I updated the information with her... Im hopeful! <3 SO SO SO SO SO SO excited!

Hope everyones process speeds up... but i checked with her again, n she said its 3 to 5 months from the date she received ur packet... 3 months down, 2 months or less we'll be married! TNT ur will be soon Im sure! Congrats on the counselors finally getting the packet off to the coordinator! She told me she'll call me with the date so to make sure my phone number is always current!

It took us about 8 months for the package to get to the coordinator for a date then they took two of our dates because my husband yard was on lockdown

I've heard that you are given three dates to choose from. What happens if they are locked down for the one you choose, if it's the last one? The way I understood it, was that the marriage license was only good for 90 days, so if you miss the window due to lockdowns, you have to send more $$ for a new license and another 3 dates. I also read somewhere, that you have to start the whole process over, but that doesn't make sense. Any ideas?

Well she told me what dates she had our first because another couple where on lockdown but they my husband yard went on lockdown then she give us the next date that she had so we had Feb Mar and got married in April... The license is only good for 90 days but if you need to order another because of lockdowns you don't have to pay again and you don't have to start the process again
