Visitation on Holidays - Connally Texas Prison Unit

Good afternoon all! I've read NUMEROUS threads on this site trying to find the answer to my question but I can't seem to find it, so I figured what did I have to lose by posting it ...


According to TDCJ's website -

1.6.1. Visits may occur on Agency-closed holidays (except Christmas Day) that fall on a Monday or Friday, if scheduled in advance. Arrangements to schedule these visits may not be made on any state holiday.

Now my question is, has anyone been able to schedule a visit on a Friday or a Monday with their loved one at the Connally Unit? How did you manage to schedule the visit?

I think that they may schedule visits for ad seg on Fridays but they may have stopped that. Other than that, no, visits are only on Saturday and Sundays. Call the unit, ask for inmate records and they will tell you for certain.

Correct. That pertains to ad-seg and expansion cellblock facilities that already have scheduled visitation during the week.

i have been able to schedule friday visits @ connally but for Ad Seg recently. you need to make appointment.
