Default What do inmates do for work??

Hello all. I am just curious as to what types of jobs are offered to inmates of CCA prisons? Is the available workload general done for private companies? Eventually, do the inmates get to keep any of their hard earned money?? What are the main differences between privatized prison labor and public prison labor?

i would think the public labor and private labor is the same.

they do anything from cleaning showers, maintain dayroom, cooking food, serving food, laundry, maintaining visiting rooms.

yes, the inmates get to keep their money. it gets added to their books. but they only make about 11cents-40cents or so an hour. and they get paid at the end of the month
