Default Poem (My story)

A Poem I wrote for my Love about the day he went away
(sorry if im posting in the wrong thread)

Beautiful May Afternoon

Cruisin down the freeway, I still remember the day...
U had the wheel, 'twas a beautiful day in May.
Sky was blue, heat beaming from the sun
I was your lady riding w/ you shotgun.
Our love was so intense whenever we were together
We made a vow to eachother that we would be forever
My heart was content. We were rollin' without a care
But that feeling quickly dispersed when I heard, "Step out, w/ ur hands in the air!"
My heart dropped into my stomach, I didnt know what to do
Before you stepped out the door you kept saying, "baby, I love you"
The sight of you being cuffed was too much for me to bare
My reality became a blur, this has to be a nightmare!
In the back of the squat car I looked into your eyes
I sensed a sadness within in them & began to silently cry
You tried to stay strong, not showing any fear
But I guess you felt my pain cause in your eye I caught a tear
They say that patience is a virtue
& for love we pay that due
There aint no half steppin, its me and you through & through
I knew this day would come, just didn't expect it to be so soon...
The feds siezed my heart on a beautiful May afternoon.
