What is amazing to me is that when I started the spiro I was also hired by a family to take care of their 90 year old mother who totally percieves me as female. Her family loves me! They flew me back to Massachusettes for her grandaughters wedding and everyone was no less than wonderful to me!
Amazing... when you begin to walk in the direction you are supposed to God keeps clearing the path in front of you and protects you... its very humbling.

How wonderful to hear! I am so pleased to hear that you continue to have this positive reinforcement in your life. You certainly deserve it! I am sure the journey can (has been?) be troubling at times, but with positiive thoughts and prayers I am sure our kind Lord has a special plan for you. Have you thought of working with individuals in their late teens or early 20's who may be struggling with having the strength and support to begin their own journey? I am sure that my area is not the only area which could really benefit from having a woman who could share her experiences with the process.

Blessing to you as you continue on your journey! And kudo's on that size 4!

Yes I have been asked to speak at schools, but right now i work mon-fridays and its difficult to get away during the week...

Last saturday when i went to have my eyelashes tinted the lady said my skin looked so much softer and she didnt know i was taking the spiro...
Im told it will take months before I notice subtle changes.
Yesterday I had the nicest message on my voicemail, a friend said he and another person were driving and spotted this pretty lady walking along the road and as they passed they said "Hey! That WAS Dana!!!" Made me smile...

Yesterday I began taking Estrogen. 1/2 of a 1mg tablet 2 times daily.

Well... since being on the anti-androgen...emotionally okay.
Im told about 3 months into the Estradil hang on its a rollercoaster.
Nim its been a LONG time coming as you know but it feels good that Im finally on my way.

Hi..okay so I wasnt ready for finding my chest area getting very tender some weeks back and then my nipples began swelling. I called my doctor about it and she said it wasnt unusual that the estrogen began working so fast because of being on the spiro for awhile.
Now I am experiencing the area around my nipples getting firmer and they seem to be swelling also.
They are very sensitive and Im no longer comfortable being seen in a tshirt because its noticeable.
So heres some updated pics...

Hi, Im still around!
Im really experiencing alot of physical changes. My breasts have grown considerably, and my body hair is much thinner and softer, as is my skin.
Emotionally I can get very teary.
Im still working for the 90 year old with dementia. We are going east July 1st for 2 weeks.
All of her family are very supportive of me, I am so very very lucky.
I will get some pictures posted.

I have a dear friend at my school that will be starting hormones soon. She's a bit worried about how it will effect her, along with how people at school will treat her, not to mention her family (who is very unsupportive). I feel so bad for her, and I try to be there for her as much as possible.

I know im very fortunate to be surrounded by people who are supportive, but, like your friend i was worried too how i would be treated and you know when I made the decision to do this and DO IT, everything fell in place and all the negative people just went *Poof*
I think if she moves forward, just that positive step will open the door for more positive to flow in.
