Default Question for anybody that knows about ORW

My girlfriend is in orw in marysville, she is been there now for 30 days and I just found out that she is in the hole because she hasn't written me back my 3 last emails and I had to call orw about it, so my question is, does she get my emails while being in the hole?, if so why she hasn't written back yet? and how long is she going to be in the hole?

Please, somebody help.

Sorry to hear that your better half is in the hole. I understand that she can both receive and write letters and emails while she's in the hole...

My girlfriend is also in ORW, Marysville.. The hardest part to survive is in admissions. Some ladies “pop” out of there in as little as two weeks.. But most are there for over four weeks. While for some unknown reason my girlfriend was in admissions for seven weeks.. And she's a model inmate.. But she had some health issues..

The mail room at ORW takes forever to process the mail, and email. The DOC spells out inmates should receive letters and email within a 48 hours, less weekends and holidays... Nothing moves at all on Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays... However they did deliver mail on Mother's Day...
I write or send 20 letters, cards and emails each week.. And the average time it takes for her to receive them is 10 days to 14 days from when the arrive at ORW. While it takes 10 days for her emails to reach me... I was hoping that once she was transferred out of admissions,, things would improve.. No such luck! This is totally unacceptable. And needs to be addressed by the Warden..

I send letters and emails to other prisons in Ohio, and their turn around time takes only a day or two maximum... It not uncommon for an email to reach an inmate the same day elsewhere..

Would you believe that the inmates didn't receive mail or emails again today at ORW?? Besides missing the whole three day weekend... the mail room decides to take an additional day off for the holiday...

Thanx guys for the information, I finally got an email after 2 weeks of waiting for something, the feeling is terrible, just wandering what happens, I guess when you love someone with such intensity is worse, I will try to get her out soon by judicial release. I pray we get lucky, I know it's worthy to do everything for her.

I can't believe they are holding the mail, or what is going on?, I sent a birthday card for my girlfriend and she still don't get it, that's not good at all.

I was just released from ORW on July 9th. The mail is STILL crazy slow! Sometimes we would get mail post marked from 5 days prior ...other times it would take up to 17 days. RIDICULOUS! The best way to send mail is through Jpay(emails) my girl gets mine in 1-3 days, and I get her responses in 1-2 days. Also.....phones....if you don't have it already sign up for a google voice number from Union county.....instead of phone calls costing $5-$10 on the inmates phone account.....they will be 97 cents/call!
