Default First letter rec'd on a piece of brown bag

Yes I said it right. I received his first letter from Graterford on a piece of brown bag. Gotta laugh, he was resourceful! He just arrived there last week from County and in the "letter" he said he would be moving to Camp Hill next week if all goes as planned. Is that possible to move that quickly or is he just being optimistic. Gaterford is closer for me & I can take SEPTA since I do not drive. Anyone know about transportation, bus, train etc for Camp Hill if he does go as he expects??? I live in Delaware County, PA.

Yes they all have imaginations. I used to get letters on paperwork that he insisted that I had to send him and here he writes on the back of it. Ughh I used to take the train into Harrisburg and then a cab. Not a bad adventure at all. It could be possible if that he moves that quick but with the holiday weekend I doubt it and then he has to finish the classification part at Graterford first. good luck and I hope everything works out in your favor.

When my bestie arrived @ Camp hill 9 days ago, I got a letter that was written on the back of a cple pages of a letter he just got from me b4 they shipped him.. lol.. I too got a chuckle from that.. I too will be taking a train/bus to Harrisburg, then a cab to the prison. But, I can't do that for a bit yet. Check out Amtrak and Trailways/Greyhound.

Best wishes!

Here's an idea: Include a couple extra sheets of paper in your letters to them. Print some kind of doodle or watermark on each sheet so that it isn't considered "blank" paper. He can then write back on them.

I also live in Delaware County. Check out The PA prison Society website. They have buses that go to each prison every month. The cost is only $35 and leaves from 30th and Market. It's for an all day visit and might be cheaper than a train and can both ways. Hope this helps. If you need any more info PM me and good luck!

Aw - thats cute
Mine told me in the last letter that he had ran outta paper but would write the next letter on an old application he had for a rehab. lol.
When he used to run out of envelopes I'd get 'home made' ones. lol.
