The #'s I have for AOP are: 517/373.3318 & 517/241.9079. I had them programmed into my phone, but I don't recall what each one is for. You may try them both and see which one works out best. But to make sure he is on the list he may want to kite to ensure he is on the list and keep a copy of the response to the kite. Good luck.

The 9079 number is the AOP for Tony. But then it gives a message to call a different number and that is probably why you have 2 numbers.

Default flop time

if my son was not given a parole board hearing, but denied and granted another 12 months, after they cancelled the parole board hearing, how can i appeal this and to who?

When you say flop time, for instance say 12 months was added, to what date is that added to, the time they are denied or flopped or is it added to their ERD?

It's not added to nothing. Just say for instance your son got 5-15 years. The ERD was 5 years and the max was 15 years. So he can serve anywhere between the 5 and 15 years. I think you are wasting your time trying to appeal anything. They can do pretty much anything they want to as long as it's between the ERD and max. There's a good chance he may get another hearing in the near future. I've been hearing of alot of guys that got their hearing cancelled. Maybe they are behind or something right now.

The flop time isnt added to anything, however, it doesnt actually begin that 12 mth flop until their actual release date they were given. For instance, if his outdate is October and he saw the board in March and got a 12mth flop (continuance) it wouldnt begin until October for that 12 months

My man told me that one guy that he is in there with got a letter from the parole board stating he was being released on his ERD but here's the thing.......he never went infront of the board I'm thinking there trying to save time and money on parole hearings......and also my man got approved for a program when he was at the bottom of the list when he had signed up, its called the inside out program which from what he knows of only guys that are about to get out are able to take that class don't know if any of you ladies know any details about this program, he just thought it was werid that they are letting him take it now, he is deff not complaining he is willing to do anything they throw at him, hoping you ladies have some insight

Bottom of list in what way? Last to sign up? They usually assign classes by closest to ERD.

When a guy gets a parole without a hearing they say he got it "under the door" because that is how a lot of guys get their mail. The officers slide it under the door of their cell.

I agree that guys are being let out without a fuss. I'm not going into details because I don't want to cause any hardships, just let me say I am not the only one to be surprised by recent events.

I'm not really sure but he said no other guys in his unit are taking it because he asked around, he said most of the people who take this class are about to be released. Yea he thought it was werid that the guy didn't get a hearing ill ask him more about it and see if anyone else isn't getting a hearing either I just think its werid. But I deff. Will look more into it I'm curious about it.

I am learning about this AOP process and such. This is filth. It's absolute filth, and it is EXACTLY how they make more money. I am fucking outraged. These people on the Parole Board know EXACTLY what is going on, and quite frankly they are scumbags for even sitting and being willing to engage in this storage of human beings. Scumbags...

My husband did well in AOP. It made him think of what he had done and gave him tools to use to help with anger and triggers. He sent me some of the work sheets used when he was done with them. I found nothing wrong with them. When he was within 10 months of parole i started bugging the AOP people. Made sure they knew he was getting close to ERD and asking where he was on the list. AOP is hard to fail unless you don't do the work or participate. Obviously some effort needs to be put forth from the inmate but perfection is not expected.

My son is in the AOP class now. He is really taking it seriously. I hope that him having this class means the PB will call him in for a review (he was flopped for a year). His ERD was May 14 of this year so he was bummed. I'm just glad that they finally began offering the class that was causing so many guys to get flopped!
