does anyone know how much a cab charges from the train station to green haven? i was told $30 each way !!! i hope not... my husband was just transfered there and i would be highly upset if i have to spend the same amount to go see my husband an hour away as i did when he was in clinton 7hrs away !!!

Someone please help me! What is the best way to get from the Utica area to downstate correctional facility? I'm trying to get there sat may 12th. Money isn't a problem, I'll pay whatever it takes.

Hello, I hope this is the right place to post this. I have been traveling with a woman named Yolanda (Removed per policy; Please contact member via pm system). Here is the info: This times and prices are for the remainder of the summer as I understand it.

Monday - Wednesday $50 door to door.
Thursday - Sunday $40 door to door.
Thursday - Sunday $35 @ 125th Street and Lexington

In addition, if this is the wrong spot to post this, I am sorry.

Here is an update to the services that Yolanda offers:

Hmm its only like 12 mins from fishkill to green haven .. I mean depending on how close or far the hotel is.. you probably could take nearly any cab there! Better yet rent a car?

I thought about renting a car, but I haven't driven for years and I'm going to have enough anxiety without worrying about wrecking. I think likely I'll just go with a cab, but I just wanted to make sure that was the smartest choice, you know?

I would recommend calling the hotel ahead of time to get cab numbers to call and find out price. I have used a cab from beacon train station and that was $30 each way. Just don't want you to be caught by surprised by what ever they are charging. It may be 12 mins but who knows nowadays with these cabs.

Very true! That's why I said depending where the hotel she at.. 12 mins away can equal 20-30 min drive! And yeah cost about 30.. I took a cab from poughkeepsie to downstate which pretty much same distance and price..
I was going to recommend zip car but if she's not looking to drive I guess not

I took mandarose's advice and called the hotel to get some #'s to get some quotes. I've decided which of those companies I'm going with so I'm all set! Thanks for your help!

Lol yeah I looked into today.. I figured they did.. it is in pougkeepsie where I live (which like 25 mins from green haven) I never knew about this zip car til recently!
