Default Santa Maria Unit

My GF is in Santa Maria Unit for 2.5 for an Agg DUI. She took a plea deal to drop the other charges. Will she have and early release date of serve flat time. Also can anyone tell me about the Santa Maria DUI Unit what, whats its like. Maybe the good and the bad. Thank you

The plea agreement will state if the time is flat or not. Once she is at Perryville you can check the DOC website. It will tell you what her release date is.

Santa Maria is a minimum yard located across the street from the main prison complex. It's not a bad yard - I have a friend on this yard and I was next door at Rosa. Santa Maria yard has cells so she will share a cell with one other person. This can be good and bad. Good - not in a dorm with 300 other woman. Bad - the cells get warm in the summer.

The yard is all DUI people so you get a mix of people. It is easy to visit on this yard as you don't have to get bussed through the main complex. She'll get a job - they have pretty good options, they have classes if she wants to go to school. Tell her to keep busy and it will go by fast for her.

Default Perryville

Hello, I noticed a change in the unit housing. I now see "Complex Detention Unit" instead of Santa Maria. Does this mean that trouble has occurred or my GF was seperated for a reason and moved to a different building. Does any one know about this. Thank you for the info

That means she is being investigated for a violation or she violated and is being punished. She's in the hole - a cell by herself on a different yard. She could be there for up to 30 days if she is being investigated for a violation - usually serious if they put her in CDU. If you call they won't tell you anything. You can write her. She won't be allowed any visitors or phone calls while she is there.

Thanks, I also see. Ive called and they told me nothing. I also see there was a detainer/warrant issued and i see a charge there with "MLH4" at the end of the charge and see "Adult Probation" with "NR" I dont know what any of these mean. I cant imagine what she would do to get herself sent to the hole. I know they wont tell me anything Thanks but do u know what the others mean as well

As for the detainer/warrant part, "NR" stands for Notify apon Release. Its not a warrant it just means that whoever it is such as a court clerks office wants to be notified apon release so they can start collecting money or something when they get out. It's normal and almost everyone there will have a "NR"
