You need to fax your cellphone bill to GTL. The process to receive calls from prison is slightly different from jails. Once they verify your info they will setup your account. You will get $100 limit and as long it's kept lower than that you can go over the $100 monthly. I just makes 2 payments a months and always keep a credit. You can pay online. The cellphone bill will have to be in your name. The credit card you use to pay the account must match the name and billing address on the cellphone.

Can I start a GTL account under his name?
If I can get Vonage under his name, will they allow me to make a GTL account using his info too? I also have a credit card with his name to make the payments. Also I read about this 100 dollar limit thing.. How does it work? Not really understanding the principle behind being able to go over while maintaining a limit.

Yeah you can open an account with his name, that is only if you don't need to speak to them. However, that will never happen. You will always be on the phone with them. Open a Vonage account under your name. Get a green dot prepaid debit card in your name. All issues solved. As far as the $100 limit. They give you a credit of $100 per billing. If you go over that limit you are blocked until you make a payment. I always over pay a few bucks to have over $100 in credit. I've never use the $100 in a month since my calls are only $1.45.

So got a letter today tues. He says he is in the shu, he sent me another visit application jus in case I need it. He told me to call to c if I was approved for visits ! Do I call or do es he have to ask. Keep in mind he is in the shu. Can he have visits while in the shu? Contact? He is on mainline now! N has seen committee! Help please

He will have to tell you if you are approved or not. As far as visits I believe that yes you will need an appointment. As far as contact or no contact I am not sure. You can ask in the facilitys forum for a better answer.

Yes. But very limited items. When you go to order online it will ask you facility and security level. Everything that shows on the list will be the only approved items for his level

Since he is in the shu he cannot make calls right? Or buy canteen?
