I actually had gastric by-pass surgery a little over a year ago and because of the rapid weight loss, My hair got real thin. My doctor told me to tak Biotin. It is in the vitimain section. It takes a while but it really did help me get the thickness and healthyness back. good luck with it.

Your hair and nails are what you eat. Your hair is a extension of what your diet is.

Your thyroid gland can causes issues with your hair as well.

It sounds like to me you yours is not related to diet, but rather the chemicals and treatments you have done to it.

I have very heavy highlights and I have to use a good conditioner and sometimes a leave-in.

Peace~

Infusion and Tail n Mane is very good for our hair. Infusion keeps it moisturized and it also have Vitamin E in it. Mane N Tail helps it become very healthy and thick. My hair got real thin due to stress and a lot of fell out. I have been using this two products for 3 weeks now and my hair is definitely coming back to the length it was and the thickness.

First, step away from the creamy crack. Perms are the death of our hair. Second, educate yourself on the wonders of your natural hair. A good site for information is nappturality.com. Third, go to HSN.com and key in Andrew Lessman Healthy Hair, Skin, and Nails. That is a very potent vitamin that is high in Biotin, MSM, and other nutrients for healthy hair, skin, and nails. Fourth, if you are going to continue to wear weaves, learn how to take care of your hair under it. There are a lot of videos on youtube with great tips. HTH

walgreens has a Nature's Bounty Extra Strength Hair, Skin and Nails it has 5000mcg of Biotin in it! You can usually get a 150 capsule bottle buy one get one free at Walgreens, and I believe its less than $15 for one bottle! I use it everyday and I love it! And I recommend the Mane and Tail too, Im caucasian but I have very thick dry hair and every since I started these vitamins and this shampoo my hair is still thick but its soft and lustrous now! My daughter is bi racial AFA and Cau and she uses mane and tail and loves it! She has a mix of my hair and her dads hair! Her hair is so soft and flat irons beautifully now that uses that shampoo and conditioner. I also put a leave in conditioner in my hair before blow drying this helps keep my hair from drying out from the blow dryer!

Good luck hope all this advice helps

You should really check out Andrew Lessman vitamins. They are very potent and pure. I don't doubt that you are seeing results with the Walgreens vitamins, but how pure are they? Drug store vitamins have filler ingredients and have been sitting on the shelf for God knows how long.

true, and I did check out the Vitamin you posted about on HSN, I just hate to spend money on something more when I have 2 bottles still sitting here..lol Maybe Ill splurge and get a bottle and give it a try! Because you do have a point! Generally I always thought Nature's Bounty was good stuff, but Im sure they are full of fillers and such!

If you want to save some money, what you can do is call HSN and ask a representative when the next Andrew Lessman show will be. When he is on air, his products are on sale and most have free shipping and handling. I think his next show is sometime in the middle of this month (I'll check tonight if I remember). I work for HSN and we have people who sware by AL vitamins. Every time we have his show on, we are swamped with calls. That's why I started taking his hair vitamin and the essential multivitamin.
