Default Visiting Rules

Can someone who has been to this camp recently tell me the ins and outs of visitation? I asked a while ago and got some information...but my guy is telling me the guys there are telling him different things. I would just like to be prepared. For instance, is there a time restraint on when I can park on the lot or go in the building? How do I get picture tokens? Can we hold hands or touch at all? Can I wear perfume or will that set off a machine? I am driving over 1500 miles and don't want to get turned away for doing anything wrong. Thanks!

To answer your questions (I go every weekend...know the rules rather well)... Yes, there are time restraints on when you can park or go into the building. Visit is from 9:30 am to 1:30 pm and 2:30-6:30pm Friday through Sunday. You are allowed to be 30 minutes early for visit however you are not allowed on the property before then. So, if youre going to morning visit, you are not allowed to drive onto the parking lot until 9:00 am... They just changed the rules for the pictures. He will have to buy a ticket when he goes to the store otherwise, you will not be able to get a picture in the visit. You can hold hands, but both of your hands must be at YOUR knee. When taking a picture, you are not allowed to touch. You can wear perfume, they dont care about that, however make sure that you dress appropriately. You must have sleeves on your shirts and your shorts or skirts must come to your knees. That wont stop you from getting in but they will make you put something else on.

WOW! Not allowed to touch for the picture? I am so confused as to why the lower level prison is so much stricter than the level 5 he was at. (That comment is in reference to ALL the things I am learning about this camp.) So is there a spot to park before you can go on the property where people line up? Like at SECC, there was a guard rail we could line up at until 9 a.m. Thank you so much for the response too!

Oh, and also...is there a change machine there or should I bring my own coins? If there is a change machine, does it take ALL bill denominations? Also, is there a locker of some sorts to put your keys and such in?
