Default Introducing myself...

hi

My boy is currently in custody in local cells awaiting transfer to some place called Melbourne Assessment Prison before then finding out what prison he is going to.

He only went in a couple days ago so i havent heard from him and i'm told it might be awhile before he is able to call. He said he thinks it might be Fulham, wherever that is.

Its the third (and hopefully last) time he has been in, but this is the first time i have ever encountered this situation (our relationship is early days even though we've known each other for 10 yrs). So i am not sure how to deal with all this.

I feel heartbroken for him in that deep down, he is not a terrible person and i hate the thought of him in jail. But the sensible person inside me also understands that if he hadnt done his crimes then he wouldnt be in this situation. He says the same thing...so at least he isnt "oh woe me" i guess. Hes very pragmatic that he did it so he has to pay for it. Sigh. 4 months and counting.

I think i am just rambling now. I just wanted to introduce myself (Kiki) and say hello.

Hi Kiki, welcome to PTO.
This can be a difficult time, I hope the 4 months go real fast and he is back with you soon.

Hi, and welcome to PTO!

Even the best and most normal (for whatever that means) people can do silly/foolish/stupid things, make poor choices and so on. Four months seems like an age (it did for me) at first, but it becomes a part of a kind of routine, and it will be over.

Welcome to PTO.
You can visit at MAP every day! It's on spencer & la tribe streets, everyone's real nice there.
Good luck. 4 months will fly.

Default Hi KK

I'm also in the same boat as you honey, my man made a mistake 16 days ago and goes back to court next week and it doesn't look good for him. He has been in remand in Arthur Gorrie in Brisbane, not sure how he is, I'm not coping, but I'm not sure if we can have contact or even if he wants contact with me. So many tears, but staying busy and praying and hoping he is ok, not knowing is the hardest thing. I hope it's his first and last time?

I hope your ok and things get better for you, is he away for 4 months? If you stay busy it should go fast? I understand when you say he is not a terrible person, I have so many around me passing judgement, I'm glad I found this site. It is so hard to cope with all this. I don't know how to cope either? Just wish I could talk with him.

I send you cuddles KK
