Need help from someone with finding NC law.

hi every one
my son is in federal jail waiting to be tried he is facing 10 years for felon in possession of firearms ( 18u.s.c 922)and (924) he pled guilty in 2003 in north carolina to a B&E & larceny he was sentence under aggravated range without 30 day notice so now i am trying to get nc lawyer to file motion for relief but was told that the state would just send him notice to federal jail and re sentence him to same time this one case is going to enhance the federal time by 5 years any one that is computer smart pleas help me find some law to stop warren conty in north carolina from doing over he serve his time for that case plusdid 2 years probation

His federal lawyer needs to fight the proposed sentencing enhancements before he is sentenced. I hope the lawyer is successful.
