I am very frustrated that it has taken this long and still waiting. My friend said he sent a letter finally to me when I went for the visit last Tuesday. Now it's over a week and I still have not received it. Also I put in a pair of jocks to him last tuesday which he still has not received. Im very angry that this has taken this long. I asked him yesterday whether if they stopped the letter would they let him know and he said no

just wanting to know other people's experiences with letters they've waited on. This is happening at PPP by the way.

I haven't checked the mail yet but if I don't get something today it'll be 8 days with no mail.
I'm reaching my 'freaking out' point so I hope I have something.

my guy wrote me april 17 and i got another letter on may 28 he wrote it may 21 but apparently he wrote me a letter a few weeks before that and we have no idea where the letter went to and here i was going crazy for no reason lol

Marngoneet is great for mail. He receives it within a few days of being sent and vice versa. I know if I've sent something that they won't allow, they will always let him know.

Ok so it seems like the norm in the way that they take there freakin time to be delivered. Hopefully it will come in the mail tomorrow. It's just very frustrating as he said over a month ago he had written me a letter and only sent it just over a week ago and I dont have it

knowing the people that run the prison they probably didn't send it until late last week or maybe even only on Monday just gone.

In the past they have been pretty good. Him sending me a birthday card and myself sending him letters/cards didn't take long at all so it just seems wierd it's taking this long this time. But as I wrote before I put in jocks last Tuesday and he still hasn't received them. Maybe they are just slow and can't be bothered with these things at the moment who knows.

I am in the process of moving and I am using a forwarding address for my mail and I got one letter so far but I got a call from a lady that I dont know her husband is in the same jail my man is in and she has been relaying messages from my man to her man. She texted me yesterday saying asking for my address which I dont have one at the time as I am staying with my folks til my new place is ready and she said his letters was returned to him and I have NO IDEA WHY!!! I am freaking out wondering what happened if he left something out on the forwarding address or something

The mail is always for me about a week and a hafe behind wich sucks. But 23 days seams way to long i hope you hear something soon.

Don't freak out.

My guy used to send me stuff and it would take a month. Next it would be two days. It depends on when it's sent and if it gets checked.

Fingers crossed it comes soon.

If I don't get a letter at least once in 5 days I start freaking out. It has been 7 this time!!!! OMG!! Last I heard from him he was on Loss of Priviledges and they had not brought his store so he had no more envelopes so guess they still haven't brought it. I go everyday hopeful to the PO Box and leave it sad and depressed. It is so hard not getting to hear from him...we were inseparable before they took him. So not seeing each other everyday, hugging and kissing and walking hand in hand, etc......sooooo hard. It has been almost 3 months now and well....it just never seems to get easier.

Usually letters take only a few days here, but from time to time they take well over a week. Last time that happened, he put in a complaint form and although they told him there was no issue there end, both his letters arrived 2 days after the form had been put in. We wonder if the person that does the mail was on leave that week and no one else doing their job? Same thing if I send something in and he doesnt get it within a week, he puts in a complaint and lo and behold, it appears. We have had one envelope that has never appeared, it only had 2 notebooks in it, so not a big deal. No idea where that went.
The letters I receive dont have the postshop date stamp on them, so cant tell where the problem is. We both put dates on everything we send to try to keep track of the time delays.
@ HisChevyBabe - Can you use your folks address? just to get around the forwarding of mail. Sounds like maybe that was part of the problem for some reason.

I get what your saying like the person who was doing the mail for the week might of just not gave a f*** he said that he gave it to be sent on Monday 28th may and yet the post office stamp was 06 June and I got it next day.

Yip, I guess its like any business/company... you get some people that care about doing a good job and others that just dont. And of course, we all know what its like to take leave and have no one touch your work so you come back to a backlog....

maybe he sent a letter but it never got to you a few weeks ago i was waiting for a letter for over a month then i got 1 and found out he had sent me a letter and i never got it and another letter i got was early may and he wrote it back on march 3

Same at Fulham - i've been getting letters a few days after they post them and if i have sent something he cant have (i sent a magazine), they put a note to say why its been returned and they let him know.

I think Barwon was the best for mail-receiving time! My husband used to get my letters the next day.. He's at Marngoneet now, bit slower- he gets them about 3 days later now! -.-

So far I think Loddon has been the best for mail. I've always sent things express post and my BF gets things next day!

so far the mail i send him at PP only takes a few days. i sent a letter thursday night he got it today but that letter he sent me took like nearly two weeks. hopefully the next letter he sends does not take that long
