Arrow Desperate to find rescue/no kill shelter in MI

Im praying that you will be able to help me.
I have a brown pit bull named Capone. His owner (My BF) was recently put in FED prison.
He found a foster home for him as long as he had a dog license.
I took Capone to the vet to get a check up and a license.
I went to check on him and poor dog is
extremely skinny. The room he is in was covered in feces and smelled of
urine (guessing he obviously was locked up much of the time).
I took him that day but the place I am staying does not allow any pets.
He is a great dog.
He absolutely LOVES to play, cuddle and is good with kids.
He is NOT good with other male dogs but does get along with females.
I have looked high and low, begged and pleaded to find him a home but to no avail.
I have emailed shelters, tried craigslist, facebook everything! My only other option is to put him down (most shelters do not adopt out pit bulls) and i cant bear the thought. I do not know what else to do. Does ANYONE know of rescues taking in dogs right now??
He will make a great home for someone who has the time to spend with him.
I hope you can help Capone and me.
Thank you.
Melissa

Awwww...I wish I could help you but I am from California. I have no idea how you could go about that other than finding an actual person to adopt him. He sounds like a wondeful companion and I hope that you can find him a good home
