Where are the WV ladies & gents?

I have noticed on the WV forum that there is so many outdated threads, I would hope there would be more out there from WV other than myself??? I'm just wondering were we are all at and what is going on??

I live in West Virginia, but its like right on the border of Maryland, and my boyfriend is in Maryland prison in Cumberland so I go to the Maryland Forum, Sorry /:

Some forums are more active than others; WV's has never been what your could consider a hub of activity. Our state and prison population is a lot smaller than some other states. Sometimes members are active while their loved ones are still incarcerated, but then once they come home, their involvement drops off, which is to be expected. While my loved one is still incarcerated, my involvement has dropped from several times a day to maybe 2-3 times a month. Nine years is a long time.

i'm from west virginia up in morgantown and my hubby is at pruntytown. i cant really post alot because i'm busy taking care of my 5 month old son. i'm happy my love has 6 months left to discharge and all the craziness will be over.

my bestie is in SMCC he is up for parole in October, Miss him dearly but I try to see him everother Sat. and talk to him at least once a day!!! hope all is good for all ya!!!

New to the forum, made my first visit to a prison today, new to all of this...very overwhelmed. After dealing with this for the last few days, I realize I have a lot to learn about visitation, phone calls, writing letters, getting him reading materials, etc. I did meet a very nice correctional officer today at TVRJ who took a few moments to answer some of my questions, offer me a sympathetic ear for a moment and told he he'd explain a few things to my husband. I am very thankful for glimmers of hope like that.

Welcome most of us can help you with the things you need, be glad to help you in anyway possible! I'm on the site every other day or so... You do meet some CO that are nice and help you.. I'm going on 2 years working for the Adminstion for the PO office in Charleston.. I wish the best for you and hope everything gets easier as time goes!!
