I don't understand what you mean about he has not had a voice, are you meaning help on the outside?

Yes. Thats exactly what I mean...Sorry if I sounded dramatic, but this is a really sad case. I want to and will do whatever it takes to get someone to listen to this case! I mean there is DNA evidence that was never even mentioned in court! Signed statements that were never submitted! Threats made to his parents if they tried to pursue the issue...the list goes on. Basically, anyone that could have helped him was afraid! I believe that with the info. I have we should be able to raise some ears! I hope..Any ideas on what or where to start?

In answer to your question; yes, after 17 years there are routes to go to appeal. Habeas corpus is a big one.

That said, you should probably either retain your own lawyer, or start putting together a packet of information so you can start soliciting Innocence Projects and other pro bono groups that take on these types of appeals. You're going to have to put together a persuasive package of information detailing the evidence that's available, the evidence presented in trial, and everything that would make your case more attractive to an Innocence Project than every other person out there pleading for the same type of help.
