Default Clueless - how much time might he do?

Hi!
I am new to all of this (the site and having a loved one incarcerated) My boyfriend was currently on parole and only had 6 months left. Last week he was arrested and was charged with a parole violation. He is now awaiting charges for a new 3rd degree felony charge. I know he has to go to court for the new charges before he can go up for parole, but can anyone fill me in on how long it could be? Anyone else have a similiar situation?? I am in utah if it helps. Should I get a lawyer or write to the board? Any suggestions, stories, or info is so appreciated. I am in a complete state of panic because I have 4 children we were raising and the day befor he went back i lost my job. Please help and thank you sooo much in advance!!

I'm sorry you're going through this. I don't have the answer, but I'm going to move this to the Utah Parole Forum where I hope you'll get more answers. Good luck!

My boyfriend just got there a week ago. From what I understand a 3rd degree felony in Utah is a 0-5 year sentence. Usually with a 3rd degree they will go in front of the parole board in about 3 months.

I have a question that our attorney couldnt answer today.....handbook says BOP hearing after 6 months incarceration. All toll, husband has served almost 21 months even before trial. Now he's been in for about 140 days. Will he get hearing soon since he's already been held for so long? Am really stressed out....I was diagnosed with stage iv cancer in Dec and need him here with me to fight!
