Financial troubles, can't find a job. What am I doing wrong?

Before he went in he was pretty well brought in most of our money, Since he has went in I havent been able to find a job anywhere, I have filled out an application for seriously every single place here and within the surrounding areas, we are on a program, and getting so far behind its not funny, I dropped out of school hoping I could find a job. I dont know what to do!!!! We got an eviction notice today, I have no one really to talk to so I hope you guys can help me rant and raive and maybe figure out what I'm doing wrong... I need help and dont know where to go

What about T.A.N.F. and other government assistance? I know it's not the greatest thing to do, but if you honestly can't get a job at McDonald's, it's probably your only option, unless you have friends or family in the area.

I am so sorry you are going through this :-( I'm not sure what you mean when you say you are on a program. Can you clarify that? It sounds like to me that the most pressing issue is the eviction notice. Is that right? Is there anyone that can loan you some money or worse case scenario, do you have anyone to stay with? How long does it give you until you must be out? Take a deep breath and hang in there. It says you are in Kentucky, so if that is correct you could start by contacting United Way of Kentucky. Have you ever called them? I believe you can call 211 from a landline or you could go to the website to get the number to call from a cell. Their website is http://uwky.org/211help.html . They can point you in the right direction and can provide you with different organizations that help with rent assistance, utility assistance, food, etc...They are usually very helpful in the community.

Also I don't know if they have these in Kentucky, but in states that have townships, there are Township Trustees who you contact (probably look on your state government website) and they can do like a one time rent assistance in desperate situations. That is part of their job to help with situations such as this and/or utility help, etc...In terms of government assistance such as TANF, food stamps and such, if you have dealt with them at all, you probably know it can usually be a lengthy process unless you qualify for some sort of expedited service such as expedited food stamps and I'm also not sure if that agency deals with housing, but you could call like your local human services government agency and see if they can give you some pointers. I'm not from Kentucky, but am trying to think of ideas that are good in most states.

Finally you could see if there are any churches or religious agencies or any sort of housing agencies in your area that deal with rent assistance/emergencies with eviction. Often times a church can point you in a good direction even if they can't help. I hope some part of this info helps you. Do a google search and just look through everything if you can. I would start with United Way. I hope you find a job as soon as possible as well! Good luck hun!

Yea eviction is the most pressing, And nope not even McDonalds will hire me, I had a clean record until JAN, When they came to arrest my hunny in may, they threatened me with harboring a fugitive charge, They hit me with it in JAN it is considered a dishonesty charge here, everyone says 5 years, what do I do for that 5 years????? I mean really? But I am on K-tap which is like TANF, I receive 225.00 a month and 200 gas check, my rent is 375.00, but my mom moved in with me for a bit, then moved out she actually got me further behind really..........anyways I will check all of that out Sad_Eyes. i have problems too finding a job because i drop out..im going back to school thou to get my diploma then going to the military or just go to college..all i can tell you that if you can go get your ged / or if yall have an adult school get your diploma & try to find a job then or take up a trade because now a days its hard getting a job without one and im a witness of that.

i have my diploma and go to college and still cant find a job lol.. now in days its a degree or nada been thinkin about joining the military too or something because it sucks i live with my mom she helps out but i cant depend on her forever for everything she already buys my sons clothes I feel bad that I cant pay her back even though she says it okay. :/
