Default He got credit for time served

I haven't spoken to my man who self-surrendered about 2.5 weeks ago, in a week. He asked em to call the public defender bc he wasn't being given credit for time served. By the time I got to speak with the PD he had already filed a motion. Well, I got an email from him today. Motion granted. He will be given credit for 140 days. It's cuts his time by 1/3. I am so happy ad just wish I could talk to him about it. Soon, though. Once they get him situated. Now, he just better behave and not get any time added on.

Well, he told me to call a public defender and gave me the number to call. I called him 2 days later and he had already filed a motion to have it down bc he thought the court was wrong. he explained to me why they didn't take the time first. I asked the PD to email me the motion (or whatever it is called) and he did. A few days later he emailed me back saying the motion ws granted. Sorry, I can't help more.

Congrats on your baby on the way! Wishing you an easy and smooth delivery.

Update: IN the letter I received today, he told me to stay on the public defender about his back time. I realized he doesn't know yet! How does that happen? Why doesn't someone inside tell him? Can't the public defender get in touch with him? Doesn't it go on his record? Is this usual? As much as I would love to be the bearer of good news, why has no one told him?

I'm sure his lawyer can contact him. There is no answer (excuse) why he wasn't told. I guess it wasn't important enough to the jailers. I'm glad he got credit for his time served too.

I mailed him a latter today and I told him today. I hope it doesn't take too long to arrive to him.
