Default Need advice about visiting my mwi

I met my future husband while working as a nurse in the prison where he is incarcerated. Our relationship was discovered and I resigned my position. He is currently in ad Seg. I applied to visit and was approved. I went to visit today but was turned away because I am restricted from grounds. Don't know why they would have approved visiting. Does anyone know if I have any recourse here and what should I do. I just want to visit him. And he wants to see me. I was told that most likely he will be transferred and this wouldn't be a problem at another institution.

Transfer is the best option. I know it sucks but trust me it will help in the long run. If you are trying to visit at the same facility where you worked, I doubt they will ever let you in. I too met my man while working at the facility he was in and quit to be with him. In our case they denied our visits for almost 9 years due to the fact that I had worked for DOC. But God saw us through and finally he is at a camp where the Assistant Super heard our story and allowed me visitation. Make the best of what you have, I know how hard it can be but be strong and persistant...once they see that you are serious they will allow it. Praying for ya!!

Thank you. In CA from what they told me today I am only restricted from grounds at the prison where I worked and it will not follow me if he is transferred. It is policy to transfer him after the investigation is over. I think they are hoping to find criminal wrong doing and there just isnt any. We just fell in love and were discovered before I resigned

Sound's like policy is the same all over. They tried to pull that criminal wrong doing with us too to no avail. We knew we had feelings but didn't act on them until we were apart but of course DOC looked down on us for what we felt. Of course they moved him far away in hopes of destroying our happiness and keeping us apart (or that's how it felt) but it only made us stronger. Seems like for the longest they kept putting hurdles in our way but I feel that God brought us together and has seen us through this far. If they approved you, you'll be able to see him soon. They just had us in pending status forever and we finally found the one that changed it to approved.
