Had to tell my son about his grandpa

I there I'm still here it's been a while since I posted my parents were visiting from Germany and I took them to airport and they had to connect in Atlanta . All this time unfortunately we couldn't make the long drive to Missouri to visit my son my parents are old and to fragile but he got to talk to them 2 or 3 times a week
After they left I got a phonecall about 10 from my ex husbands exwife that my dad had a heartattack on the plane my husband at that time was a pallbearer at a funeral and we couldn't leave until 2 pm to take the trip to Atlanta we spend the whole week at the hospital and Friday after heart cath and stent we took them to airport and everything went good on the flight with lots of assistance from delta
Yesterday my son called and I told him I think he took it alright
Everything was extremely stressful for everybody
We made it home and resting

Oh Bama, bless your heart!!! I can't even begin to imagine all that you have been through...it just takes my breath away. I'm so sorry.
I AM THANKFUL ....big time thankful that it all ended well. I'm sure the emotions that came with having to tell your son on the phone....well, that crumples me just thinking about it.
I hate that you were not able to visit son while your parents were in...but I'm sure it was wonderful for them to talk on the phone several times a week.
I hope you enjoyed your parents!!! I KNOW you did...and they enjoyed YOU!!!
I am sure that you are exhausted after the ordeal....I hope you get plenty of REST!!
I'll be keeping you and your family in my prayers....

Oh my Bama, I am so thankful to hear your father is okay. How scary it must have been for everybody! Giving our kids bad news is the hardest thing to do but this news could have been so much worse. I know our kids biggest fear is losing their loved ones. I'm sure you need to decompress after all this, rest, try to relax a bit and count those blessings!

I was so glad that your post ended with your father safe and back in Germany.It is really hard to give our kids news that causes worry.My 78 year old mother is leaving on the 26th to visit her sister and brother in Augsberg,Germany.I'm always happy when I get the phone call that she has arrived safely.My family always arranges the trip with my mom as a wheelchair asst.This is so helpful and the airline is always very nice(she didn't want to use a wheelchair because she thought it would be a bother lol).Once again,I'm so glad to hear you father is okay and your family made it through such a scary time with a good outcome!

Thank heavens your Dad is recuperating. It could have been so much worse. I am sorry that you had to deal with so much stress, but I hope you are taking it easy and will soon feel back to normal.

I am so happy your father is ok. When I saw the title my heart dropped. My father had a sudden heart attack and he is now resting in heaven. We just spread his ashes the 16th of this month. Lots of thoughts and hugs your way and that is great that your son is taking it so well and that you got so much time with your parents. That is so great!

Thank you for all your support I talked on Skype on Sunday with my dad and he looked great if course he still had to see lots of drs this week
I'm glad you are all here and listen and read what's on our mind
