Default Is anyone else blogging about their experience?

I just started a blog about the experience of my fiance in prison, it's really helping to have somewhere to put my thoughts, you know?
I was just wondering if anyone else out there is doing the same.

I just started a blog yesterday, I think its a great idea to blog, especially when nobody in the "real world" understands what we are going through.

I started mine using Blogger.com
You'll have to set up a gmail account if you don't have one already.
Good luck!

I do too. Don't write as much as I would like, or about as much stuff as I am feeling. But, I'm busy with my kid and in school.

I've thought about it.. I was writing in my journal, but haven't in awhile. I think writing out my feelings every night really helped me alot.. I should probably start again. I've never done a blog before though..

Not to be disrespectful but blogging on a Prison Support site is pretty much like preaching to the choir; or in my opinion just another way to vent.

Getting the message out through other venues only serves to educate those that would not normally visit a Prison Support board.

I recently began blogging....not about prison...about after prison...after 37 years in prison.

Good Thread.

Just wanted to say thanks for sharing your blog....brought tears to my eyes in some places because there are so many things you said that I felt the same way about. Im also starting a blog shortly ....to share things I find that soothe me and things that I want to be able to look back on after this journey is over with and say look baby this is how i felt, or to remember things I might not have been able to share with him at the time

Default Do you have a journal/blog?

I just started blogging today on this site.
I've been depressed so I figured I'd give it a try.
It REALLY made me feel better to get everything off my chest.

How many others blog on here or have a journal?

Welp, different strokes for different folks. There are many who find blogging here to be very therapeutic and rewarding. And I have no interest in blogging on blogster or any other site, only to receive negative comments from those who do not understand and chose not to understand. I pick my battles and that battle is not one I'm willing to fight.

Hope your blog serves as a way to educate others.

I have a blog here as well and agree with Miss_A. I don't really see it as preaching to the choir, because for every member on this site, there are that many different experiences, views, challenges and triumps and I learn something new about them (and myself) each day that I go and read it. There are many who feel more comfortable in the blog section than posting because as it is, they are sharing thier inner thoughts and experiences. Sometimes we just read, respect and embrace their posts, and other times, we may comment, offer support, advice or share a laugh or two. I LOVE the PTO blog section here and encourage more members to read and utilize it.
