Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

Hello old friends and new ones. Most all the oldies seem to be gone from here. Havent been here in a while myself. Tish has been in jail now for over a month and just signed six months to State jail. State jail is day for day so no good time earned. This is for a drug charge. Then when she gets released there, she will be picked up by another county to answer to another drug charge there. I do not have any idea what that sentence may be. Zach is doing great and me and the kiddos are traveling around for summer. After 35 years with bank of america, I was given my lay off notice in April. I am beyond devestated and angry but what cha gonna do?? I am taking the whole summer off and spending some time with my family before I hit the job search. I am sure it will be hard as hell for someone my age to try to find a job, not to mention anywhere near my salary. So, you are now up to date. Please pray that Tish learns something from this latest stay that she has not learned in the many, many stays before and that God has the perfect job in store for me. Love and prayers.....

Good to see you back...for a flash anyway! I'm praying that THIS ONE WILL BE THE ONE for Tish!!!
I'm thrilled that you have seized the opportunity to PLAY for the entire summer!!!! That is so very cool....and I'm sure the kids are loving it too!!!
I just know that God has the perfect job in store for you....and the perfect time!!!
SHAME on BOA!!! I might have to cancel all of my accounts there!!...that is beyond rotton.

Diane,
At age 28.5 I was hired by a dentist to run his office. I helped it grow, and developed it from scratch. His sons were babies when I started, the same age as mine. He belonged to my church, our kids were in scouts together, yada yada.

one day he called me in and told me that today was my last day...his son had gone to dental school and needed a job..in order to pay him at our office, they let me and another gal go...with only a moment's notice...no warning. I walked out of there in a daze...and 57 yrs old. I had spent half my life there literally.

so I told God I would work for him. I did not know how that would turn out or where the money would come from...but here I am nearly 3 yrs later and I am fine.

God is funny...has a real sense of humor...found me more to do than I can imagine, and my bills all get paid. I am debt free, and no kidding...it just works out.

I love my "new" job and the little flock that God has assigned to me, it changes by the day, this one or that one...fostering someone along new to the area, helpig some mentally ill folks, taking care of those who cannot drive and need a ride.

BEST job I ever had! BEST employer I ever had!

One day you will look back and say this is the best thing that ever happened to you because it pushed a life change in.

Tish is Tish...but you are different. You went on ahead and are living the life you deserve and dear ole Zach has his lovin gramma there for him. It is going to be fine.

I am so sorry about your job, please stay hopeful that as a saying goes, one door closes, another one opens. I wish you the best on your job search.
Sending you and your daughter prayers that she will finally "get it" and that she will make the best of the time spent in jail. Wishing you the best.

Hopefully Tish will learn something from this sentence and she can get out and start building working on herself. It's such a shame you were laid off, but I'm sure there is something out there for you! Enjoy your summer though

Thanks for the update AM!!! Sorry to hear about tish and the job. I went through the job thing myself. I can’t believe I handled it as well as I did. It was not long and the job I lost was replaced with a better one!!! The kid learning their way thing is also familiar!!! Prayers and thoughts with you!!!

sorry to hear about your job, that sucks. You can take a deep breath for awhile as far as Tish goes at least you know she is safe. I am one of the oldies, I am not on here as much as I used to, but I feel as if I know you and Tish. Thanks for the update. Enjoy your summer, things have a way of working out.

I was glad to see your update, I wonder about your family all the time. Enjoy this summer and think about what kind of job you would like to do. Maybe you would enjoy going back to school for something different. Let your mind wonder while you take this time off. Enjoy yourself and your family this summer

Keep thinking good thoughts for Tish, everyday that she is sober is a day with hope, she will get it eventually.

I was just thinking about you yesterday! I'm so sorry about your job.I really dislike BofA.My Mom still has her accounts there because I cannot convince her it is not The Arizona Bank where she and my late father set up the accounts in 1971 when we first arrived here.It is the same building therefore it is the same bank.Tish is going to experience a few new moments and you can believe we are all praying she will learn from this.I'm going to be a grandma.Thank God my daughter is with a hard working,well mannered young man.He sends his mother money every week from his paycheck.I pray my daughter continues doing good.Probation now is by a form she mails in monthly.She still has 2 more years and she knows that the system can still take her should she make a bad choice.Also, she will have the probation reviewed after completion and the court has the option of extending it for 3 more years.Enjoy your summer with Zach! You deserve some fun!

Congrats on the approaching grandmotherhood, Tu! And thanks for the blast from the past-I hadn't thought of The Arizona bank or Valley Nat'l bank in Years 9think it is chase now). My daughter is a former B of A emp;oyee who also hates them but alas she is curremtly working for them through a temp agency.

Nice to hear you seem to be at peace within yourself, right now. Sorry about your job, and yes ... jobs are scarce these days. Sometimes we go from the easy life to see that it really wasnt the easy life at all....it was stressful. The simple things are what matter, not how much money we have, as long as we have each other.....the rest just seems to come on its own.

I've thought about all of you and was wondering how Tish and Zach were. I guess we can only hope and pray that something happens that will help free her from her addition. So glad that Zach handles all of this as well as he does - - I know it is because of you Diane - that you have been a constant in his life. I am so sorry to hear about your job - - that totally stinks! I do hope you will have a great summer . . .and that the perfect job opens up in the fall!

Diane, I am so glad to hear your update. Tish is in a safe place and you can sleep at night. As of the job, I agree with Jancy! God has a plan for you, just listen. My Joshua is doing well and has held his job for over a year now. I am so glad I saw your update.

Hi Diane, you got me out of PrisonTalk hibernation :-))))) I have kept in touch with one of out moms but have not checked PrisonTalk for ages...

I am sorry to hear about Tish but many young women like her take several "lessons" before they learn. I never ever lose hope, you I hope you do not either. My son is doing better than ever since his release a year ago. He relapse once but now has a gorgeous girl-friend his age or close and she is determined, strong and puts up with no nonsense. It should help. He is also attending church on a regular basis. Great support for him.

The main reason I am writing is to tell you that I have seen several people (I went back to work, by the way) who have been let go of their jobs after working for the same employer for 15, 17 and 20 years. The reason was so that the employer can hire a less experienced individual and pay beginning salary. In two of the cases the loyal and productive employees suffered abuse given to them in the hope that they would quit and the employer could then avoid paying unemployment benefits. Those two individuals were suffering from anxiety and clinical depression for they had put up with the toxic work environment for over 4 years. Both were afraid to sue and become branded as trouble makers which would jeopardize their chances of finding new employment. Making the work environment difficult for long time employees is becoming much too common. How sad.

Gosh Diane, that scares the hell out of me to hear about your job! I would be living in my car if that happened to me.. You sound calm about it.. Taking the summer off will be soo rejuvenating.. You will look and feel 10 years younger.!! Also, you won't have to be in chaos about Trish... I can call my daughter any time I want to in this residental facility.. You know what... I don't ever call her!! She calls me about every other day, but I am just enjoying being out of the drama.. I don't have a burning desire to talk to her. Just like I don't have any desire to visit my son!! I am worn the hell out!!

This job thing may be a blessing.. new opportunities will appear and you will get some respite. HUGS and Prayers!

Diane,how are things going? I haven't been here in awhile. Been busy with my Aunt dying. Sad but she had a great fulfilling life. I'm home again and my son is doing well. How is Tish?
