I was born in a small town called okahumpka florida in 1956 my mother is black but my biological father was indian and that is all the information I have on my father. I do not know what tribe he belonged to I sure would like to learn more of my indian heritage. Have anyone heard of city and do you have knowledge of indian tribes in or near this small town.

Do you have your fathers last name? A friend of mine is native American from CA. But if you pull up certain tribes websites you can put in the name and sometimes get info. Sometimes one name leads to another. Just a thought.

another great source of finding out information is the Church of Latter Day Saints. I am not a member but they do have an extensive records collection.
If you do a search on native american geneology I can bet their site will pop up.

I have blackfeet on my grandfather's side but unfortunately my family doesn't represent the culture, and I would love to learn something new if anyone knows anything.

My man is also blackfeet . His tribe is the Blackfeet Nation in Browning Montana and he was raised on the culture. He was gonna teach me but now that he went back in I'm on my own lol.
