Default OMG I almost screwed up!

Received an automated call from "securus" saying I should call ICSolutions, Claiborne Parish Detention Center's phone providers, and ask for a refund of any available funds not used, because they would now be Securus! I did!

Then to sign up with them, because my son would not be able to call me anymore! I started to think this may not make sense, and just spent 3hrs online trying to find out! Thank God for Life Traveler and those "stickie notes" .......which I have never found/read before......and the address for La. DOC!

I had ALREADY been on the DOC site, but it didn't have that red banner, explaining about the phones changing before!!! But, LT's did! Mt sons prison isn't listed to be changed! I had to call ICS back, and ask them to cancel my cancellation.

Thank God! I then reported this to the communications officer, and they are trying to see why I recvd this automated call on a number that NO ONE uses, but my son!

Man, I hate this prison.....this La. prison crap!!!

Weird.

CSA actually called me to set up an account with them on the same day that I knew my fiancée was transfered to Tallulah.

Just think...I almost cancelled the phone provider for my son, and almost called to give "someone" else my credit card number to buy minutes! MY money! Damn!

When they called, did they ask for your card number to open the account?

They said to call an 800 no. Or go to a certain link online. So glad I thought twice. I felt so stupid.

Let me help you feel better about yourself.

I donno if you ever received these, but about 4 years ago EVERYBODY was receiving text messages from any random bank name saying that your debit card was showing odd activity and is a warning to you that the card must be stolen, text the card information so it can be deactivated and no charges can be allowed to it.
Well an old boss of mine was going through said bank that the text message said, and she actually did the information because her debit card so happen to be missing out of her purse.

We all had fun making fun of her about that for a long time. lol

Well Chris, it's not as bad as me contacting the warden because I felt my son needed vitamins, since he couldn't be out in the sun enough to absorb vit D! My 44yr old son was MORTIFIED ! I promised to never do anything
Ike that again!

Haha, I love this story and remember you writing about it. It's just so cute! I'm sure even though your son was mortified, deep inside he loves that you care so much.

Maybe I should call Madison and tell them mine needs non greasy foods because of the fact his pancreas is mostly gone and can't digest that kind I'd stuff...I know it wouldn't work. He'd probably laugh and think it was "cute"
