Sending money from uk to ohio

Hi, can anyone offer me advice about how I can go about sending money from UK to my friend in Ohio ? ( I'm not on his list)

what prison is he in? my b/f told me since im not on his list to address the envolope and money order in his moms name so you might have to get address of someone on his list and send it that way hope this helps

In Ohio the only way you can send money to an inmate is if you are on his visiting list.
You can contact someone who is on his list and ask them if you can send money to him through them.

Just putting their name and address as the return address won't work, for one you are in the UK and another doing something like that without anyones permission can be trouble.

The only way you are going to be able to send money is contacting someone on his list or have him do it.

I wanted to help someone out one time in Ohio on Death Row and I am friends with his wife. So I mailed her a money order in his name and she sent it to him for me.

i use the quick pay by western union, if you ring them on the free phone number and do it that way, they get the money within about 1 hour, hope that helps, i know i is

To add funds to an inmates commissary account online.
You can also add funds to an inmates phone card if they have one using Offender Connect. (You can not send an inmate a phone card.)

There is a fee charged to add inmate funds online. I don't recall offhand how much but i do believe it is the same amount no matter how much you are adding, so I would say add as much as you can afford to at one time.

Some notes on using Offender Connect;
After creating an account you would use your inmates number (example) A357869 to find them in that system.

The Offender Connect web platform changes the "A" to a "2" - so if you see the following after the search (example) 2357869 you have the correct inmate.

To add funds from an international address;
The Offender Connect web platform insists on a United States billing address when using a credit card to add funds to an inmate account. If you use the zip code 45601 and Ohio for the state it should go through.
