Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

Hi everyone!

My boyfriend has been incarcerated now for three years. He is serving a twenty year sentence for a fatal car accident that took the lives of two people. Your first thought, I'm sure, is this must be DUI related.. answer is NO.. He is a first time offender and was charged with culpable negligence manslaughter and given a forty year sentence to run concurrent-so 20 year sentence. His first year was served at Green County and then Leake County. Because of his charge, he is not eligible for parole but he is in trustee status-so earliest release is November of 2018. He was then transferred to a county jail where he has been until this past April when he was rushed to the ER and admitted to the hospital for 14 days. He is now in the 720 Unit at CMCF and was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure, Atrial Fib, Hyperthyroidism, and a Pulmonary Embolism- he is only 31. The guilt he has being involved in a wreck that invoved fatalities has taken a tole on him. Every night when he calls me-I cry.. An inmate that is in 720 and has been for years suggested to him that I join "Prison Talk" so here I am.. Im hoping this helps me become stronger for him.
