2012 CAL Visiting Question & Info Thread

okay so i am getting everything ready to send in my visit request for 7/7 and 7/8, do i have to send in 2 seperate emails or can i just put it all in one email, and does anyone know what the earliest time to request a visit is? thank you

are they emailing or taking calls for the 4th of july and if so wat day and time shud i call for the appointment

In the email I put the dates and times in the subject line,
and then in the body of the email do I put his name and cdc# and do i have to include my name? sorry never done this before thank you

You can email tomorrow for 4th of July. But calls were done yesterday.

In the subject line just put the dates in the email I set mine up like :
I'm requesting an appt for (date and time)
Inmate name and CDC number
My name


You want to make sure to include your name and his CDC number

Put date and time you wish to visit your name and his name and cdc#

Karen is NO LONGER on the IFC!!! For those of you that know her or of her then you are familiar with the MANY years of hard work and devotion she has put in for us visitors and how she has ALWAYS gone out of her way to help us out in our times of need. Working to help us resolve our problems, questions and concerns was a 24 HOUR JOB for Karen. She was the reason we have the Christmas program and we pass out toys at visit, she pushed to have 5 family visiting units up and running with all the upgrades of the units, new murals being put up in the childrens area of our visiting room.. There are 6 other people on the IFC besides Karen...HOW MANY OF YOU KNOW WHO THEY ARE?????? D yard HAS 2 representatives, a husband and wife team yet whenever anyone on that yard has an issue they go to Karen NOT THEM. I have never seen them do ANYTHING but use their position on the IFC to push their way to the front of the line on visiting days so they don't have to wait in line with the rest of us. If you guys have ever benefited or have heard of the hard work Karen has done please join me in voicing your concerns to administration!

Well I know who malia is. Who at calipat doesn't know who she is? She does ALOT for visitors and brides to be.

Phillis...I don't think anyone is dogging Malia...and yes she helps many visitors. CAL is fortunate to have her on the council. I think the point made was that I will be missed and did much over the years. It is my hope that many good things continue. :-)

Lol...girl thanks for the support. Time for me to move on from CAL's IFC, but no worries...I will still be meeting with warden & admin once a month...will still push children's and family visit issues. I need time for Place4Grace programs and expansion of camp. Also I am working with a few other prisons to develop their IFCs. Plus I never used my IFC card to push to the front of the line...lol...just not my thing.

Twoshay Karen has done alot for calipat especially the children and fathers. In a selfish way I wish that she will remain because I feel that with her we were moving mountains however as a friend and someone who works with her closely I understand her reasons. I will make it a point to try and get to know the other team I hope that they will continue to improve calipat. Thanks love for everything if you need any help during the holidays I'm a phone call away.

Ladies and families,

I think it's safe to say that Karen will be missed. But I do know that some of the wonderful changes that is taking place at calipat is a joint effort by Karen and IFC. I hope that these effort's will continue. Please members no need to go back and forth let's keep it clean here. Thanks.

If an inmate is in ad/seg are they able to get a visit both Saturday and Sunday or is it just one day out of the weekend??

I believe they can visit both days. If I'm wrong someone should be along shortly to correct me

Yess that's correct. tha officer on,my yard sed it was due to tha state not having money foe film.,he didn't say for,how long tho. i hrd sum,girls sayin November bt tht wud b just ridiculously
