Exclamation Medical at Morey

Ok everyone I need some advice...

My husband was transferred from Kingman to Morey 26 days ago. he was interviewed upon arrival about his medical needs which is standard procedure. My husband has always been on meds since before his incarceration so it is in his file as well. He was at lewis before moving to kingman and was on meds there as well. He is severely asthmatic he takes 3 meds just for that. he also takes 3 psych meds and meds for sciatica. However in the past 26 days he has not been issued meds and when the nurses pass meds he asks them and they say he has none. he has wrote two H&Rs one came back with the response that he has no meds and the 2nd hasnt been answered. I have called central office, friends and family liason, the medical office for morey unit, medical for lewis and the medical administrator. And still nothing... my question is what can i do next... he needs his meds!!!!!

Any helpful suggestions would be appreciated I need to help my husband before he jumps of the deep end.

put it in writing with copies to everyone.....from the medical director of his unit, warden diaz on up the ladder. a tactful mention of legal advice you will be seeking if his needs are not met usually goes a long way.

i do know that the medical care has been taken over by a private company, Wexford, so a copy of the letter to them might be a good idea.

just remember to be professional, respectful, but FIRM.

i have been dealing with my husbands medical issues since he got there 2 years ago and it can be frustrating, but you can't give up, persistence pays off eventually. good luck

Thank you for your response... last night after I posted this I wrote some emails to everyone I could get an email for that has anyhting to do with medical. I received responses back first thing this morning but I will only know if it worked if he tells me they take him to medical soon. I will write some letters tomorrow as you said to Warden Diaz, the DW of Morey? does anyone know who that is? and Wexford. I got the name of there top person on the yard.
