Default 1st visit to Mohawk

Well, I don't know if anyone is in here but tonight I leave on my 1st journey to Mohawk CF. I am not looking forward to the ride but I can't wait to see my baby again. We meet the bus at 1:15 am and I am praying there's ac and comfort on there. My bestial is coming with. She has been a real trooper throughout this whole ordeal. I don't know what I would do without her. I am riding with Guardian. I will give a rating on their service upon my return. Time to pack up the snacks and pillow. Later.....

Where are you traveling from? If you leave from Brooklyn, Manhattan or The Bronx, I have been pleasantly surprised with Guardian Transportation. So far, so good. Spacious charter bus with functional ac. Bring a pillow, blanket and snacks. Cost is $40. Which is cheaper than I paid when he was closer.

About Mohawk. Lmaoooo. I laugh because it was an experience. The dresscode is strict as hell. Bring extra clothing. I was turned away because my denim capris were too tight. I had to take a cab to Walmart and back to buy sweats and a large t-shirt. Oh, before I forget, most importantly, as of July 7th visitation goes by the last number in his DIN. For instance, my fiance' is 3 so he is allowed visits on odd weekend days. If the last number is an even number, he is allowed visits on even numbered weekend dates. Hope that makes sense. Zero is considered an even number.

Back to dresscode, wear nothing they may consider too tight. This one CO made this girl go back 5 times to change. He actually comes in the waiting/registration room and gives a speech about how he gets paid $70,000 a year to do his job and he does it. He says, "put your finger at the lil indent at the bottom of your neck. Place your other three fingers below that and if the collar of your shirt is below that, YOU WILL NOT GET IN!". For the most part you can get in with sweats and a t-shirt or a nice dress or skirt and blouse.

The visiting room in huge! You can choose to go outside or stay indoors. But you must choose when you register. Once you're outside, you're out. When you're in, you're in. No switching. On the outside, you have to sit across from your man. On the inside, you can sit to the right or left of him. You can kiss, lay your head on his shoulder. The guards do not harass you. On my first visit we were surrounded by a live porn session. Acts included a handjob, bj and a chick jumpin up on it. Yeah, it's real there! I told my fiance' don't even think about it!!! Babies running around and parents/grandparents in there. No bueno!!! It is what it is though but that's not my thing.

Hope I answered everything. If you still have more questions, just ask. Oh, and bring lots of quarters and one dollar bills for the machines. Picture tickets are purchased from candy machine $2, $4 and $6.

Understaqnd that there are cameras in all visiting rooms. So even if folks are not caught on the floor, they will be caught later. Normally you lose your visiting privileges for at least a year. And if you get visitis back, you are seated right in front of the COs.

Well, there will be a lot of people losing privileges because that place is crazy. When I go up there with his parents, we are definitely going outside.

I am not understanding why my post was deleted. Said I spoke of illiegal activity. Really?! This one will probably be deleted also. Everything I seem to post lately has been against PTO rules*shrugs* feeling like my time here is done.

Anyhoo, to answer the question, yes I meant to say bestie. That's who I was with.

Really? You should have tapped me or something, I stick to myself mostly but I'm cool. Would I have noticed you in the waiting area? Now I'm gonna be looking around everytime I go. You know they sent my ass back again because my Slacks had metal clips. I bought a bag of clothes with me but I was insistent on wearing my slacks so I cut the metal off. The lady kept telling me to go to the closet. I'm not going to that damn closet! Lol. I told her I want to donate some clothes because I know all to well how it feels to get turned away. And then the closet has nothing you want to wear.

My gut told me it was you, real talk!! GrasshoPpa (inside joke). I Wasn't puttin you or anyone else on blast or judging what you do but giving a warning to those who may plan to go with kids and older folks that it's best to go outside. I didn't plan on seeing anything, ha! Green Haven was nothing like that, I guess because they get FRP's. And my fiance' told me "in here you see but you don't see. It's been a long time for some people" and I get that but damn, everywhere I turned my head it was going down. My girl almost had a heartattack. Lmaooo. I felt like I was violating ppl's privacy. I had to look at the table.

Yeah, the vending machine attack was serious. We didn't even get up the 1st go round. Jumped in on the 2nd refill. Still was crazy. I left at 1.

Yeah I'm a virgin! Haha!! I won't get my turn to visit til August. When he was in GH, closer to me I had him all to myself. Now that he's closer to home I gotta split that lil punk ass one day with his parents and bestfriend. I let them get their time in. I can't be selfish though I want to be. Lol

He didn't mention it so I have no idea. Is it like GH, where they have to buy the tickets in advance? I will ask him about it when he calls in the morning and let you know.

Yes it is like gh..I don't think he can buy them anymore, my hubby had them for about a month but I honestly don't want to go..the one we just went to on sat was crazy..3 ppl went to the box..and the c.o.'s didn't know what they were doing at first..they were telling us that we had to sit across from each other, then the sargent came and we started complaining and then he said yes we can sit next to eachother..then we had to double up with another visitor, then the leutenant came and said he didn't want 2 inmates on the same table..it was a mess..so I told hubby I'm done with the festivals..there is one in aug. And one in dec...I know the one in dec. I'm definetely not going to..he'll only have a few months left and I don't want anything to go wrong.

Yeah he said there are no tickets left for this festival. You are thinking wise. You guys are too close to take a risk, it's so not worth it. I will admit, Mohawk scares the sh*t outta me. They are laid back to an extent but my babe said he's seen someone go to the box because his shoes were untied! I'm not playing with them. I just want him to do his time, work his lil job to stay busy and come home.

Nahh it ain't lay back at all girl..wait till the regular guy comes back from vacation..I don't play no games when he's there..2 of the regulars were there on Sunday, which is the one that don't know how to sit down and walks straight and sits in the back, the other one is aquiles he had glasses on but he waws in and out..the big man on the visit is on vacation and he don't play..he pretends like he's cool but he will send anyone to the box in a heartbit, so will aquiles..they are very strict..they go overboard especially with the new ppl..they tend to pick on them..thank god they are not on us anymore..they are alright with us now but I still don't trust them.there was a situation with a sex offender on the visiting floor who touched a little gir who was visiting her dad, this is the reason why they have been getting worst with everything..that jail is really something else being that its a high rate of sex offenders..can't wait till hubby finally comes home and we can put all of this behind us.

See!!! That's why I'm always on edge there. He was thinking I was changing towards him but it's not that. It's that I don't feel comfortable there. They already lied on me Sunday. When I was leaving and gave his name one guard was like "oh you're the one that got mad out there" talking about when they turned me away. I was like "not me! That's why I bring extra clothes". Now the funny thing is I still got in wearing the same clothes. I just cut the metal clips off my slacks like I told them. So mad I have to go through this sh*t til he gets out. I don't like it. Makes me miss GH more and more!

Bigjen prison gap don't go to mohawk..what they will do is make the reservation for u and tell u to meet them in manhattan and put u on guardian bus..u will end up paying $10 more bc since u made the reservation with prison gap and not directly with guardian u will pay prison gap price which is $50 instead of what u would pay guardian which is $40

Bigjen where are u from?..if I had at least 3 ladies I would drive tomorrow..I just went up for the month of june and again last weekend and stood in hotels every weekend and now I just can't afford it for the rest of the month to go up by myself, but at lest we have the same visit ..@ sweet tee yeah just be on point but u can chill there..fall back alittle..the worst part of it its the processing, when collins is there..he was the one that sent u to walmart the first time...but he wasn't there this past weekend..if u ain't doing nothing u ain't supposed to be doing and the 2 of u keep ur legs under the table at all times u should be pretty good..u can relax alittle ..don't make ur hubby feel like ur changing on him..it happened to me when he went to clinton, it was very strict up there and I wouldn't let my hubby even touch my hand and it was very difficult for us..so I do understand how u feel..but its pretty much ok in there..u just need to be on point..that's all.you'll adjust soon.
