Notice to new members intending to register - from January 9th 2012

my boyfriend was accused of trying to run someone over with his car. the "victim" did not point the finger at him in trial, so he plead guilty to dui, suspended license, and violation of felony probation. he is on probation because of gang activity, or whatever you call it. He has not been in trouble with the law in over 3 years. He came to this country when he was five years old, and has a green card, expires in 2015, he has two kids born here,(one is mine) his out date from wasco state prison is aug 30, 2012, and has a possible immigration hold. what are the chances that he will get deported? does open child support cases count against him, or help him? should i still send him his dress out box? will they give him his dress out box? what other things should i know or worry about? someone help, please!

Yes send him his dress-outs they will give them to him even if he is picked up by ICE.

have you checked the list of deportable offenses?

i know on dui alone he cannot be deported (usually) but if he has other charges/convictions especially gang affiliated they can use those to deport him.

child support or having children that are US citizens will not help or hurt him.....
and the length of time he has lived in the US or the length of time he has not gotten in trouble will not help him either.
Also him having a green card does not help him if he has deportable felonies.

do you know everything in his lifetime he has been charged and or convicted of...ICE might be looking at his past if he slipped through the cracks before.

i checked the inmate locator this morning when i woke up

, and it says he is now at Chukawalla valley state prison in Blythe, Ca.

I guess its by the border of arizona. does this mean they brought him closer to the border so ICE can take him faster? are chukawalla inmates allowed to make phone calls?

Is he serving a state sentence?

you have to have a GTL account to get calls from California prisons

yes, he has a state sentence of 2 years. Is Chukawalla a prison they will usually send you to if your being deported, like Calipatra is?

has he signed papers for a deportation?

they either sent him to Chucky because of over-crowding issues or because he is going to be picked up by ICE and sent to AZ to see an immigration judge.

Jacob`s momma,welcome to the circle of deportees,i am asuming that your fiance is from Mexico?well if he is, ICE wont vacilated with sending back,i really envy him in going back that staying in here and being in a limbo,i am from Cuba made a mistake and for life i am deported without going back,instead i am here without a job cant live with my son cause the apartment complex dont allow felons i have to report every 3 moths and can have a decent job.that is no a life,that is no a future.if you love him go with him and try to live decently poor but in pace.
