My man is at EKCC (kentucky). We use Securus to talk. Usually I add money to our phone account for our calls but am unable to for awhile. He wrote me a letter asking me how does he add money to it...does anyone know? What info does he need? Any help is appreciated!

Not sure if its all states but my fiancee is in AZ and they use Securus and they offer phone cards that they can buy. He gets them when he gets his store and it takes about a week before he can use it. Maybe try asking him if he can get a calling card.

Securus doesn't use phone cards for KY prisons. They will accept money order payments if you provide him the info (account number, mailing address, etc).

They are also changing in a way...if you already have a prepaid account, you are fine. But if you were being billed per call on your phone bill each month, that will change to come from Securus only instead of your local phone company.

This caught my attention. I was checking my rates for securus and i was putting in a few minutes and seeing what kind of charge it would be. And now it seems by calls have been dropped from 8.06 to 6.50. I know there is tax on it but I am under the impression the 6.50 is with the tax. I looked up are other calls that were 8.06 and it was 6.50 for the call and the rest was tax making it 8.06. Now when it says 6.50 the calls is only I think 3.50-4.00 and all together it tells me 6.50. Does any of that makes sense?
