Default Colored/Blank paper... What else can't I send?

I write my love on colored paper all the time. He liked my letter on orange paper so I sent him ten pages of the orange paper so he could have paper to write on. Well, his FPC confiscated it!! I've read on here that others send their LO blank paper all the time. Was it confiscated because of the color? They usually aren't that strict with his mail...

Well, there are two reasons that would be confiscated at my man's jail. 1) you can't send blank paper 2) you can only mail ten sheets of paper total in an envelope. Anything over 10 and I have to send it in a separate envelope.

I just had the ten sheets of orange paper and then one white piece of paper telling him about the orange paper he could have. Oh well. Maybe he has a no blank paper rule. I'll ask him.

I know that at my man's prison, he is not allowed to have any colored paper at all! I called to asked about writing on the decorative papers and even that was a big NO!! They are strict about the littlest things.

Every letter I send him is on colored paper and he's always gotten to keep them. I guess they just aren't allowed to have it themselves. I even send him colored index cards with no issue. Weird. He's at a camp though.

If he's in federal, then he's not allowed to receive empty sheets, cards or anything like that. Mind you, some prisons do allow it but BOP rules says it's not allowed!

Yes, he's at a federal prison camp. I didn't know he couldn't receive blank paper. I send him cards all the time and he gets those though. What else can they not receive that most people wouldn't think of? I send print outs all the time too without issue. Is there anything else specific?

Hi there... I moved your thread to the Federal Mail forum, because the folks here are the experts at what you can and cannot send to Federal facilities.

You can write letters or send cards on colored paper to federal prisons. What you are not allowed to do is to send BLANK paper. Inmates are required to purchase their paper through the commissary. As for what else you cannot send in through the mail?

Anything that has paper glued together or things glued to it, like glitter. Can't send envelopes or stamps.
